We live in a society where we can access information from our very own house. With modern technology, we are able to acquire desired information with a simple search on Google, Bing or other search engines. For probate court cases however, you will need more than just a search engine. Rather than traveling to the court to access court records, the Wayne County Probate Court has a page where you can search for probate court cases through the Wayne County Probate Court Case Search system.
We’ve put together a set of instructions on how to use the probate court Case Search. Darren Findling of The Probate Pro explains the simple steps in the video below.
How to use the Wayne County Probate Court case search page
- Click the “Case Access” button at the top of the page to bring up a new window that leads to the case search page.
- On the first page, there will be a list of instructions on how to search by case number, as well as what will be found in searches and what will not be found in searches. After reading and if you are okay with everything, click “I Accept – Click Here” to advance to the search page.
- Once on the search page, you may search for your case. However, you must have either the first and last name of an individual or the case number itself. You may filter the case type by selecting what case types to show and what case types to exclude from searches.
