When everyone’s favorite question for me is: “So how many cats do you have right now?” …Does that make me a crazy cat lady?? I technicallyhave only 3 of my own, but over the last few years I have fostered nearly 100 cats and kittens through a local no-kill shelter, so essentially my home has turned into a mini kitty sanctuary. The good news is, you can get your estate planned AND adopt your next pet all in one!
In addition to being a crazy cat lady, I’m also a proud Spartan, SSI certified scuba diver, softball scorekeeper, and dual citizen of the USA and San Marino (a mountain in northern Italy).
As an attorney, I started my first few years in auto insurance defense, but eventually found my calling in probate and estate planning. Probate is an area of law that affects almost everyone at some point, yet can be extremely difficult to navigate, especially during the tough times often surrounding the need for it. Although experiencing loss isn’t required to have empathy and compassion, I lost my mother to cancer when I was 18 years old, and I strive to be a better listener, counselor, and attorney for my clients because of it. If I can lift a burden off others following their own loss of a loved one, or give another the peace of mind that comes with a well-executed estate plan, I have purpose and am satisfied. My job is also a very humble reminder that if we all threw our problems in a pile, we’d scramble to grab our own back again.
