Michigan’s Notice statute MCL 700.1401 provides the method, manner, and time for providing Notice of Hearing in Michigan probate matters. And, Michigan court rule MCR 5.125 identifies the interested parties depending on the nature and type of the probate court filing. The Notice of Hearing is a State Court Administrative Office (SCAO) form, which can be found and printed by clicking here.
There are circumstances that governmental entities must be provided Notice. Here are some of the government entity addresses that may be relevant in your probate matter.
ATTORNEY GENERAL ADDRESS – NO KNOWN HEIRS
MCR 5.125(A)(1) requires that the Michigan Attorney General must be served in specific probate proceedings when the decedent is not survived by any known heirs, or the protected individual has no known presumptive heirs. These notices should be sent to the following address:

CONSERVATORSHIP\PROTECTIVE PROCEEDINGS
MCL 700.5104(2) and MCR 5.125(C)(24) require that a governmental agency paying benefits to the individual to be protected or before which an application for benefits is pending must be served in conservatorship and\or protective order petitions.
