I joined The Probate Pro to continue my passion for helping people and families navigate through some of life’s challenges. As the Social Worker my role is to interface with clients to fully understand their situation, identify needs for emotional support and facilitate access to all resources available in addition to legal services. This includes establishing and maintaining Probate Pro relationships with a wide range of interfacing institutions to support the full scope of client needs.
My husband and I are empty nesters and focus on parenting our two rescue dogs now that our daughter and son are out building great lives for themselves. We have always had a passion for northern Michigan and recently fulfilled our dream of building a house on a beautiful lake near Bellaire. I usually spend weekends there with family, boating, reading, watching sports and generally relaxing to whatever the seasons have to offer. Many people ask me about the history of my name; my father is a “Yooper” and double vowel names are prevalent in the U. P. I was named in honor of my Finnish/Swedish heritage.

My career began as a social worker at a small geriatric care facility very near to The Probate Pro. I gradually moved to positions of increasing responsibility including the Director of Social work at a large nursing facility and a position as Social Worker/Marketing Director for an in-home nursing care service company. These experiences have given me a broad perspective on the potential needs of families and how to support them. I find it interesting that I am now working a few blocks from where it all began.
