The Probate Pro (www.theprobatepro.com), a division of the Darren Findling Law Firm, a growing probate, trust administration, and estate planning law firm in downtown Royal Oak seeks an associate level attorney. This attorney should have the ability to communicate and work effectively with clients and firm personnel. One must be comfortable working in a team environment, but able to take ownership of matters when appropriate. Strong legal knowledge and high attention to detail are valued.
We are especially interested in candidates with 3+ years of experience in probate administration.
Compensation is competitive and negotiable depending on experience and average monthly billable hour commitment.
Required:
- Juris Doctorate Degree
- Admitted to the State Bar of Michigan

TITLE: Paralegal / Legal Assistant
The Probate Pro, a division of the Darren Findling Law Firm, PLC seeks a full-time Paralegal/ Legal Assistant for its probate and trust administration firm in downtown Royal Oak, MI. Candidate will be expected to cross-train in a variety of office functions and will work in a team environment. This is a very busy practice that thrives on hard-working, enthusiastic professionals.
Minimum expectations include:
- Prepare court documents including petitions, orders, briefs, etc. and understand pleadings and court rules for probate courts in Oakland, Macomb and Wayne – and able to easily adapt to other counties as needed.
- Excellent communication skills (writing, spelling, proofreading, interoffice and client decorum). Answering phones, taking messages, and responding to inquiries. Follow-ups with client as directed by attorneys.
- Excellent organization skills (scan, file documents, schedule/confirm appointments, track deadlines, and prioritize workload independently).
- Bookkeeping – QuickBooks experience a plus
- Flexibility (must work well under pressure, assume a level of ownership in work product, and be able to work early and/or late when needed, proactive and results-oriented).
- Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, Timeslips, SCAO/Hot Docs, Adobe Acrobat/PDF, Quicken/QuickBooks.
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of legal office experience
