I am a Florida native, but lived all over the US and in South Korea because my Dad served in the U.S. Army.
I just celebrated my 35 Wedding Anniversary, and we have one grown son. I spent many years teaching Economics and History to middle and high school students.
After family issues stemming from probate and estate planning, or lack of planning, I decided to become an attorney. I began preparing for my second career in August 2011 by attending Florida A & M College of Law in Orlando. I taught middle and high school students in the day and attended classes until 10 p.m. most nights for three and one-half years.
One of my focuses since admission to the Florida Bar has been to bring the benefits of my teaching background to the Estate Planning and Probate role.
Being a lawyer is satisfying to me because I am able to cut through the competing interests many clients have and bring comfort to families in difficult situations as they prepare for the future, while protecting their loved ones from the drama that I personally experienced.
